The Mediterranean region is of central importance to European identity. It is a model of the peaceful and productive coexistence of heterogeneous cultures. At the same time, however, it is also a place where contemporary problems and issues manifest themselves. We are researching its history and present in interdisciplinary co-operation. Our research focuses on its history and present through interdisciplinary co-operation.
