Conference Trans-Mediterranean Interdependencies

On 7 and 8 November, the first conference of the core reseach area "Trans-Mediterranean Entanglements" of the Faculty of Humanities took place in the main building of the Karl-Franzens-University Graz. In addition to specialist presentations by the individual members of the three clusters, the focus was also on contributions by academics from outside the university, who enriched the interdisciplinary exchange with new perspectives. The aim of the event was to show the multifaceted picture of Mediterranean research, to bundle interdisciplinary research approaches and to expand them with new concepts. Guest speakers were Stefan Feuser (University of Bonn) and Martin Rempe (University of Konstanz).
